Finally things are getting better. Oil and gas prices are starting to go back to normal and stores are starting to bring their prices down. People, like myself suffered a lot because we depended on oil for almost everything, that when it was almost gone we
didn't know how to handle the situation. There are a couple of ways to ensure that this
doesn't happen again. The government and the community can help by encouraging more eco-friendly things. They can promote drivers to use
hybrids, public transportation, or
bicycles instead of driving. The community can also open up a couple of farmer's markets two or three times a month. I can also do a couple of things to break my oil
dependency and to decrease my carbon footprint. Somethings I can do to reduce my carbon footprint are use energy efficient bulbs and
unplug any unused
electronics in my house to reduce the amount of electricity I use. One way I can get others to do the same thing as me is by showing them how much money is saved and gained from recycling and using less electricity. In the end, these things being big or small can help make a huge difference if everybody does them, but if people
don't, we might end up in another
oil crisis, and who knows if we might survive the next one.
